At the heart of every milk bank is the gift of breastmilk that mothers donate to help feed sick and premature babies. Milk banks welcome enquiries from breastfeeding mothers who have already stored milk or wish to become donors.

The United Kingdom Association for Milk Banking is a registered charity that promotes, supports and guides milk banking in the United Kingdom. UKAMB’s motto is EVERY DROP COUNTS.

There are 17 main milk banks in the UK together with additional donor recruitment centres (sometimes known as satellite milk banks).
